Favorite place to go for onigiris. They have so many flavors and are relatively affordable and you'll be sure to find something that you like. Their hong kong milk tea is a strong ceylon milk tea. It's not authentic Hong Kong milk tea but it hits the spot! I highly recommend checking Ohayo out!

Major regrets because we did not buy more breads and onigiris from Ohayo. Everything was so delicious and fresh! It is so cute and cozy on the inside too. One of our favs included the black bread with spam&egg filling. The egg was JUICY and it had meat floss inside too, which made it that much better. We also really enjoyed the crab salad and shrimp tempura onigiris. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything from here. Whenever we come back to Brooklyn, we will for sure be back for more!

I think in a block where there are so many bakeries already, business owners really need to differentiate themselves from the rest in terms of offerings, etc. Ohayo did that and does it well. There isn't a location nearby, or at least not that I am aware of that offers the huge variety of rice balls like they do, and the best part? it is very very affordable. They make these rice balls fresh- I came a few times in the morning and they are still warm when you get the ones you want. The variety they offer range from regular white rice rice balls to purple rice rice balls with various fillings such as eel, teriyaki chicken, bulgogi. They also have bread on the side but their biggest sellers would definitely be their rice balls which are all pretty tasty!

I heard about this spot from social media and decided to come check it out when I was in the area. The place is busy, but it's quick as you grab, pay and go. They offer a variety of breads, but what they're most popular for is their wide selection of onigiris. There are so many flavors to choose from here; more than I've seen in most places in Hawaii and Japan. Each one is priced between $2.50-$3.50 and I ended up grabbing a spam one and spicy tuna one. I have to say that there's a bit more rice than filling ratio than I'd prefer, but they're solid. It's the perfect on the go snack. Also, grabbed one Portuguese Tart as well, which was very creamy.

Super quick and efficient ordering process. You just place what you want in a tray and hand it over to the staff in the front and they add everything up. Highly recommend it to introverts like me who don't like to speak too much. I got the Sakura Lychee Slush with aloe vera and I HIGHLY recommend it! It was very refreshing and the aloe vera gave it a nice chewy texture. The onigiri there was yummy as well. The only downside was that because there was a lot of foot traffic, the tables weren't cleaned often and I had to wipe all the crumbs away. Other than that, food is a plus!

My daughter has been telling me about this place since they opened their doors. Apparently, Ohayo is quite popular among teenagers and students for their affordable originis aka Japanese rice balls! So. Many. Flavors! Salmon, shrimp tempura, eel. You name it. They even have musubi. They also have fresh made breads and buns made on premises. Can't wait to go back to try them all.

They have so many options from onigiri to bread. The crab onigiri is my favorite. It has mayo with imitation crab wrapped in rice. There are so many other great options such as shrimp tempura, octopus, pork floss, etc. They also have a large selection of pastries from your classic pork buns to matcha red bean buns. This place has a lot of tables with comfortable seating. I love coming here to get a snack and pass time.

I'd rate Ohayo four and a half stars. Multi faceted take out spot. When walking in, you're presented with a big selection of East Asian take out pastries in prepackaged bags. Venturing in further, you come across the biggest selection of onigiri that I've encountered in NYC. At the back is where you'll find the egg tarts and a vast selection of teas. It's a dream spot for a quick bite. I stopped in for just an egg tart, but I'm eager to return to try the other offerings. The egg tart filling was on the savory side eating more like an omelette. The crust was excellent. Super flakey. An elite tart crust. Service was quick. Takeout only.

I've had Ohayo Bread House on my list for a while now due to their vast array of affordable onigiris. I bought the tuna ($2.50), eel purple rice ($2.75), spam and egg musubi ($3.50), and salty egg yolk taro bun ($2.50). The onigiris were good, I enjoyed the rice but there isn't very much filling. The spam and egg musubi was delicious! You can never go wrong with fried spam, but the egg added a perfect sweetness to it, and each section of spam, rice, and egg was thick. Would definitely get again. The taro and salted egg bun was fluffy and had a nice chew. I enjoyed the combination of taro and salty egg filling, but I did wish there was a little more salted egg because the ratio was a bit off. Please note that if you pay in credit or debit, they charge you a surcharge of ~8.75%! I've never seen it that high before, so thank goodness I had cash!
